Hi Deron,

Stay tuned for this weeks post about the ins and outs of the humble table. I'm hoping that it'll be a useful resource for people who'd like to be able to copy and paste some basic tables together.

I agree that tables do have their place. If you're displaying tabular data, why not use tables? That's what they were originally created for. I love CSS as much as anyone and will use it whenever I can, but I do realize that such things as this are meant for tables and it is sementically correct to use tables.

With that said, me getting into web design when I did, I never started out using tables for layout. I started using CSS and tableless layouts for my designs. So, although I can put a table together for some data, I have a somewhat difficult time understanding the code behind them. In all honesty though, I really don't spend time trying to learn, so that's probably the biggest part of it. I've only had to use a table once thus far in my design career and I just copied and pasted and filled in the blanks then, so that's probably what I'll do if I need another.
