Consultive Magazine
Consultive Magazine launched August 2010 as a online publication targeting people who want to know about the consulting industry.
Whether they are looking to become consultants, have recently become consultants, or even if they have been consulting for years, Consultive Magazine aims to publish insightful articles that they will all be interested in.
Consultive Magazine is a joint venture between myself and Mike Romain from Light Arc. I designed and helped develop the site and both Mike and I now both act as co-editors in chief as well as share the responsibilities of running the site.
We get leading industry experts to write about their experiences in the world of consultancy on the site. They share their insights, lessons learnt and hints and tips about consulting so our readers can benefit from their knowledge and get ahead in their own consulting careers.
The magazine publishes articles once a week, within three broad consulting related topics of:
- On assignment – articles related to working on client projects
- Off assignment – articles related to the admin, and internal work, training, line management, etc that consultants have to do between their client work
- Your career – articles related to building and developing your career as a consultant, covering topics such as end of year reviews, promotion prospects, getting into the industry and even how to get out of the industry too.
We also publish occasional articles relating to the site itself under the category of Consultive News.
We are on the lookout for authors who can share their experiences of the world of consulting, so if you have been involved in the consulting industry in any way, as a consultant yourself or as a client of one, and have something to share about your experiences we’d love to hear from you.
