Whether you need a new web site or blog designed, or you need your existing web presence redesigned, I can help. If you’re looking for someone to spec up and design your enterprise web application, or any other type of web application for that matter, I can help with that too.
Over the last 8 or so years I have been defining, designing and developing websites, blogs and web applications for organisations of all sizes, across most industries. During this time I have collected a range of skills that I can offer you and your project. These include:
- Requirements Analysis – I specialise in taking loosely defined requirements and turning them into structured, coherent designs
- User Experience design – I follow a user centered design process that focuses on making the best possible experience for every visitor to your web site or application
- Information Architecture design – Closely tied into the user experience design, I can spend time with you helping to structure your web site or application to make sure that it is as easy as possible to navigate
- Web & Interface design – Again, closely tied into the user experience design, I can design the interface (look and feel) of your web site or application from scratch, or I can help you improve and adapt existing web sites and designs
- xHTML & CSS development – As well as designing the user interface for a website or application I also (9 times out of 10) code the interface
- Accessibility development – All the code that I write is W3C compliant, and I take great care to make my designs as accessible as possible.
Unlike most other freelance web consultants, designers and developers I offer you two ways of buying my services; either as a straight contracting service or as a partnership service.
Contracting service
The first service is a normal contracting service where you buy my time for an agreed daily rate and I work on your project to deliver an agreed result. This may be a simple brochure website, a redesign of an existing website, or the design of a fully blown enterprise application. Either way, you pay for my time and own the resulting work.
Partnership service
The second service is a little different from the norm. In my partnership service, for the right project I am willing to not be paid up front for my time, but to work on your project in return for a share of its outcome. Whether that be a product or a service, working in this way will result in me jointly owning an agreed proportion of the site / application / online service and owning an agreed proportion of its revenue.
