Six years ago I wrote a blog post entitled: With the advent of Google Earth and Google Maps, a new dawn in advertising was quietly ushered in.
In the post I argued that usage of these online mapping services would slowly replace that of paper maps and that as advertisers realised that we the consumer were now navigating the World via bird’s eye view satellite photos they would start to place logos and marketing materials on their building’s rooftops.
